Let's Face The Sun!

The Face The Sun Fund was established by Dorice and Andy Lessard in 2005, after Dorice was diagnosed with breast cancer. The fund was created to assist those with cancer, and in active treatment. Monies raised through generous supporters are used to help others to create lasting memories. The fund will supply eligible patients (those who are currently in active treatment) with a memorable experience such as a short trip, a dinner, or an outing that the patient's family can enjoy to "get away" from the trying times facing them.

Donations to the Face The Sun Fund can be sent to National Penn Bank. If you would like to make a tax-deductible contribution to this nonprofit fund, please forward your donation to the "Face The Sun Fund", at any local National Penn Bank, or contact the fund administrators at lessardent@hotmail.com .

Face The Sun Fest 2007!

A note from Andy:

Thank you to all who attended the 3rd anual Face the Sun Festival. We had just over 150 people attend and raised around $1000.00 That is great! You can all feel good that you made a diference in someones life in the true spirit of Dorice and Andy. To see some photos from the event, click here. Please mark your calendars for next years event - the first Saturday after Labor Day in September. We will post more info in the spring of 2008. Please take a look at our Friends of the Fund page and patronize any of these huge dedicated partners of Face The Sun. The fourth Annual Festival will be Sept, 6th 2008.

Face The Sun must now move forward without it's guiding light. Dorice has moved on to help and inspire others not belonging to this mortal earth. She passed away March 9th, in the presence of her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and above all, LOVE. All those blessed to have been touched by her cheerful and gentle nature will never forget her. Dorice's family thanks all of the wonderful family, friends and supporters who have been such a source of strength over the past 2+ years.
